International Partnerships
Life Sciences Pennsylvania has signed eight Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with nine international organizations. MOU is an important tool in supporting LSPA’s 800+ member companies to conduct international business development and ensure a strong understanding of one another’s unique attributes, events, and expertise. They also serve to promote “warm” introductions in geographies outside the United States, with the hopes that facilitating these connections strengthens the shared focus on bolstering the research and development that lead to novel treatments and cures. LSPA is proud of our international partnerships. In September 2018, LSPA signed its eighth international MOU to promote business and trade opportunities between life sciences companies and institutions in Pennsylvania, Québec, and Montréal.

Life Sciences Pennsylvania was founded in 1989 by a biotech scientist at Penn State University. Today it has grown to represent the entire life sciences industry – medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, investment organizations, research institutions, and myriad service industries that support the life sciences in Pennsylvania.
